Everything you need before your first visit

What to expect, what to wear, and how to care for yourself between appointments, so you can arrive feeling prepared, comfortable and at ease.

Your First Visit

What to expect

A first appointment usually runs 45 to 60 minutes. There's no rush, and nothing happens without your say-so. Here's how it tends to go:

01

A conversation first

We start with a thorough conversation about your history and your goals, so we understand what's brought you in and what you'd like to get back to.

02

A gentle assessment

Then we assess what your body needs. An internal exam gives the most information, but it's always optional, consent-based, and never the only way to assess.

03

A plan built together

Together we build a treatment plan tailored to your body, your stage and your comfort level, with clear next steps you understand.

What to wear

Please wear something you're comfortable moving around in. We recommend something stretchy and comfortable, so you can move freely during your assessment.

Internal exams & consent

An internal exam is never a requirement. It gives us the most information about how your pelvic floor is functioning, but it's always optional and only ever done with your informed consent. We check in continuously, and you can decline or stop assessment or treatment at any time.

Between Visits

Caring for yourself at home

The work you do between appointments matters. Small, restorative habits, from relaxation and mindful movement to hydration and rest, support your pelvic health and help your plan take hold. Our Self-Care article walks you through where to start.
